Korn / Slayer
Korn
This Dark band was oriogionally two bands that joined forces to become one of the best bands on the planet. Johnathan Davis was in a band called Sexart that was going no where so when he met guitarist James Shaffer (who was in a band called LAPD, along with Brian Welch, Reggie Arvizu and David Silveria)they formed Korn with the rest of the LAPD group. They quickly went to work on their first album to be called Korn. It was a moderate success, and the main reasen for this is that they were playing different kinds of music, Davis was singing in the same style of Sexart and the rest were playing in the style of LAPD, and the two didn't match. Their next album was much better (Life is Peachy) and their next album after this was even better (Follow the Leader), they were set to be the best band on the planet. Then came Issues, a massive success which placed Korn up there with the best.

Slayer: Creators in Death and Thrash Metal Slayer have become one of the most talked about bands in the underground metal scene. Formed in 1985 with the same line up as is with us today (although the drummer has changed a few times) they shot to success with their debut album Show no Mercy which still remains one of the best debut albums of all time. This album sets the scene for more hard hitting albums to come. The most brutal being Divine Intervention which was made to tell you that no matter who you are you still have the ability to kill. The inside cover has pictures of people killed by people who were supposedly brought to kill by poisening lyrics. The first track Killing Field sets the scene well for a album that'll leave you thinking, What the fuck is life about. They have had a sting of successful albums including Reign in Blood, Diabouls in Musica and South of Heaven.
